Samsung’s new mobile OS, One UI 7, carries new AI features along with some styling upgrades. Some design tweaks are clearly inspired by One UI’s Apple counterpart – iOS. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing (mobile platforms take design inspiration from each other all the time), one change in particular has not gone down too well among users. If you haven’t noticed, One UI 7’s Quick Settings Menu looks and behaves a lot like iOS’ Control Centre. The good news is that you can revert to the old version whenever you want. Here’s how you can change the Quick Settings Menu layout on Samsung’s One UI 7 OS to its previous version.Read Also: Sony releases 2024 PlayStation Wrap-Up to mark its 30th anniversaryWhat’s new on the Quick Settings Menu in One UI 7?Change the Quick Settings Menu layout on Samsung One UI 7 OSFrequently Asked Questions (FAQs)How do I open Quick Settings on my Samsung phone? How do I change the Quick Settings Menu layout on my Samsung phone? How do I change Quick Settings?Which is the latest version of One UI?How to install One UI 7?Final ThoughtsWhat’s new on the Quick Settings Menu in One UI 7?The new Quick Settings Menu on One UI 7 takes design inspiration from Apple’s Control Centre, separating the notification shade and quick setting tiles. Swiping down from the status bar now triggers the notification shade. The same applies when you swipe down anywhere on the home screen. If you want to access the Quick Settings Menu for tasks like toggling the WiFi/Bluetooth, changing the brightness, auto-rotating the screen, and more, you need to swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen. For seasoned Android users, this is too big of a change to stomach. If you haven’t used the Control Centre on an iPhone before, this new change can take some time to get used to. The new layout change also gets in the way of one-handed use. If you have small hands, reaching for the top-right corner of the phone to trigger the Quick Settings Menu can be very unintuitive. Luckily, Samsung has given users the option to go back to the previous layout, merging the notification shade and Quick Settings together.Change the Quick Settings Menu layout on Samsung One UI 7 OSStep 1: Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to access the Quick Settings Menu.Step 2: Hit the pencil icon at the top of the screen.Step 3: Tap on Panel settings.Step 4: Hit the empty checkbox under Together.
