Kept in mind while using Discord. These settings are often specific to each computer and operating system. If you still have microphone issues, you can try a few other things. Turn Up the Mic VolumeBecause of privacy concerns, the mic’s volume has been turned down in the most recent version of Discord. You will need to adjust the settings to use your microphone for communication and calls so that the volume is higher. It is how you go about doing it:Now, to unmute the mic, click on the gear icon in the lower left corner of Discord. Select “Voice and Video” from the list of settings. Here, you will find the “Input Volume,” Increase this volume to enhance the Mic volume. You can also use the shortcut of this setting by right-clicking on the Mic icon. Here, you will see the input device volume. Unmute the MicIn PC, we have only one audio source, an output device like a headphone or external microphone. We sometimes take the device off by accident, which makes the Discord mic automatically mute. So, whenever you need to connect the device again, you must unmute this mic. Navigate to the Mic icon and click on it. It will simply unmute the mic.Restart Discord -Run as AdministratorIf your Discord settings are stuck, the best option is to restart Discord and run it as an administrator. An administrator can access the computer’s resources when running a program. This can often fix problems with programs that are not. MIC Conference 2025. Conference Program 2025; Online Sessions. So you should check the program running on your computer with the camera or mic and close it. With this, you should be able to use Omegle without any MIC Program Guidance . The DON's MIC Program is governed by SECNAV Instruction 5200.35E, Department of Navy Managers' Internal Control (MIC) Program (PDF, 633KB) as well as several other management control regulatory/statutory requirements. Below are links to important MIC guidance and information on the revision of the SECNAV Instruction. #1 I know this may look like a duplicate, but I have not found someone with the exact same problem as I have...When I use my headset with OBS I get a static noise, this ONLY appears when my mic is on. If I turn it off, no static noise. And if I have the mic on and turn off OBS the static noise also disappears, so there must be some conflict between running OBS and have the mic on.Headset: Logitech G533Log attached. 2018-02-27 02-21-18.txt 12 KB · Views: 47 #3 Is this noise appears in video recordings you made? No, not from my recording tests. #4 I'm starting to think if this has something to do with me hearing myself in the mic when I'm talking. The sound is very low though. I tried to talk with and without the mic on and OBS closed , no sound from the mic in the headset but when I talk in the mic with OBS on there is clearly a difference in sound when talking with and without mic. #6 Fixed it! Well, now I feel kinda dumb, but also happy :)In my case I think the only problem I had was with the setting my headset software program was using, called "Biljud" on Swedish (I'm not sure about the English translation for this, maybe "around sound" or something?). It was set to 100, dropped it to 0 and the noise disappeared. Easy as that! I also did some other things before this so I will list them below since maybe they also took part in this fix.1. Opened up my microphone settings (bottom right corner, right click the sound icon and choose "record settings"), then disabled all of my other record devices that my computer had found, the only record device active should be your mic your using.2. Then I clicked on my microphone and "settings". Went to "advanced" and unmarked the box "Allow other programs to take full control over this device".3. Also changed the channel Hz from 44100 to 4800 (this I also did in OBS in audio settings).Link to my short guide about the steps I made to make it disappear: this helps somebody!
