Forum Video DVD Ripping Ripping Hannah Montana, unsuccessfully [RESOLVED] Thread--> Member [RESOLVED] Hi, I just bought the Season 1 DVD set of Hannah Montanna (yeah, I'm a big fan) but was ripped myself, of $34 bucks cause no one else had it stores. Anyway, I love this show and a huge fan, yada yada.So, I can't seem to rip my disc. I'm stuck at disc 1 and it keeps saying can't read block, abort; retry; ignore;Anybody familiar with this type of error and know how to remidy ?I'm using Smartripper v2.34 and its ripped everything else I've ever done, not that I go around ripping dvds--been a long time since I've a full dvd let alone a tv series. But I have a purpose: to test one of my deinterlace routines on it to convert to progressive. I've done many on all my analog cable tv captures, but since this is an actual dvd set, I figure that they may have done a few things differently and my deinterlacer might come out more clean than my *noisy* analog version. Anyway, boring stuff for those been there and done it, undreds of times.Thanks for any help solving this ripping mystery, -vhelp 5099 .com never heard of Smartriper v2.34, my guess would be you need anydvd or dvdfab, as they are the only two programs kept up to date on all dvd protection schemes. It did work rather well even when i had problems with dvd decrypter, but that was years ago.Damn nice program, it's a shame they never kept it up. Member Shame I can't rip the dvd. But I did at least enjoy a couple of the episodes. And, not to my surprise, it looks like these series were progressive, but that they field-shifted them to *look* or flow, interlace-see. Every time I try, I get no picture and the french audio track (no matter which track I choose in vStrip). Is there something I'm missing here? Member I ripped Lethal Weapon 4 recently using just SmartRipper (not vStrip) and then DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc. I don't recall any problems ripping it. I play the vobs with winDVD 3.0 and the audio is french. Yet when I play it with PowerDVD, the audio is the regular english, 6ch. 384kbps track that i chose to rip in vStrip. Note: I chose only the 1 english track to rip with vStrip.Has this happened to anyone else?Anyone know what's going on? Danny needs to so show more self pride and cuss like Samuel L. Jackson. Jet needs to talk more, if not purely in Mandarin. Then, express complete disdain for the unsymapthetic characters. Mel, the maniac corrupt cop. Danny, the stereotypical whipping boy. Rene and Joe, wholely unnecessary. Jet, too easily and laughably dispensed with. Chris, completely talentless as usual and has an annoying whinning voice.Finally, acknowledge what a pain it was to rewatch this movie on dvd (even though I received it free from my dvd player purchase).*I eventually traded this dvd in for Diablo II (also a disappointment but I'm less embarassed in owning this title). I've run across at least a couple of DVDs that did not have the english soundtrack as the first audio stream. Member ...but why would it play differently with different programs?

Okay, I have "Pop Art: Pet Shop Boys: The Videos" On the DVD there are 38 regular videos and 3 extended videos. When I use Smartripper, I only get the first 21 videos... It says the DVD is over 7 Gigs, and I end up selecting only 3.5 gigs...Anyone come across a similar situation?I've check the other "titles" on the disk, I still can't get the last 17 videos.
